Rear sedan door handles on coupe? It is possible to put the rear sedan door handles on a coupe. The rear sedan handles have no key hole and I thought it would make for a slightly cleaner look. I dont want to completely shave my door handles for a variety of reasons. |
I suppose you could,....they apear to be the same shape and everything,...I just dont dont know how the two compare in relation to how they "work"....did that make any sence at all...? |
the way they attach may be different but are all the door handles the same size? could work. could be a cool idea. |
it has been done...hondaluver did it(not really a good pic) http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...chmentid=52243 |
Wow I never thought of doing that... but you would be screwed if your keyless entry battery went out or the remote broke |
You could go through the trunk! |

I thought of that about the remote batteries dying or whatever, but with my alarm set up if I open my door with the key only it will go off so I'd be screwed anyway. |

I have it too. Check my pics. You have to use the Sedan brace plate for the back. |

Its not real easy. I mean you just don't take things off and put new ones on. I did it on my sedan, maybe its easier for the coupe. Maybe someone could describe it in detail. |
that would be scary. I have my trunk shaved so it remote doesn't work, key is my ONLY way in and even then the alarm will disable the starter. |
My alarm vents my windows if need be, but if the battery dies, I'm climbing through this......https://img312.imageshack.us/img312/8990/after9me.jpg You take the door panel off, disconnect the metal cable that connects the door lock to the keyhole, then you simply connect the new handle on. It's two bolts. I did have to get two new plastic clips for the handle cable. I think I have an extra set of these that are unpainted somewhere. Who wants to buy em? |
