modification was needed to make the dc5r exhaust fit.

the axleback piping was too short .. and the hangers for it were in the wrong place

eh, this sohc sticker in his member gallery is different than the dohc ivtec seen on the car above. the car is sweet nonetheless, but a lot of people will just think you're a ricer if they don't know what's under the hood.

cubanmike26 09-11-2005 07:38 AM

Nice stuff man  definately a sleeper...

With the main thing covered, it'll be awesome to tune some supension upgrades now...and it'd be even sleepier later

blouisgod 09-11-2005 09:13 AM

nice!

K20me 09-11-2005 10:54 AM

Looking good! Would you happen to have any shots directly from the rear of the exhaust. I've been thinking about using a RSX muffler on my car. Thanks.

the sohc vtec sticker is actually a pretty old pic ... it's back in the day when I had my sf turbo. I thought my car was a real sleeper back then since I had that sticker along with my 'n/a is best!' sticker

actually, I don't have any pics of the rear shot ...

I have a pic that shows my rear end ... you can see just how ugly the "silver" cf trunk is ... but I decided to leave that one out anyway since I'll be getting it painted soon :giggle:

MiamiUgen7 09-11-2005 12:40 PM

God damn! That is one bad ass sleeper

Its Titanium Metallic, not Shoreline Mist. 02 got Titanium, 03+ got Shoreline.

Day_Tripper 09-11-2005 01:53 PM

oh ok my bad...

running rich? ... I don't think so ... stock dc5r everything except intake mani and gasket ;P

thanks for the comments guys!

it cost about $8k total ... it took 9 months for the motor to get here. Advice: go with a place that is WELL known .. I tried to save a few hundred and ended up spending more than everywhere else because of all the extra parts I had to buy ... :flush:

MiamiUgen7 09-11-2005 01:59 PM

looks like you are running rich b/c of all that carbon build up on your rear bumper by the exhaust

aznboysrfr 09-11-2005 02:01 PM

oh ... actually I just had my muffler modified to fit earlier that day... I was driving with just the header/cat/b-pipe earlier ... I hadn't even hit vtec with the muffler

I think I just forgot to wash my car ;P
