bout damn time |
Looking nice.. how much longer do you think itll take before its gunna run? |
very nice |
well i need a new serpentine belt because the one i got works for AC and PS and i only have some of the parts for the p/s nothing for ac. so i need a 51" belt. don't know where to order it from though... then i need the bolt that holds my crank angle sensor in... its on back order from hondaautomotiveparts.com. i also have to weld my front radiator support and put the radiator back in. |
Question: Why did you go with the a3? Why not the a2? Isn't the a2 the Type-S motor? Also, is there any trouble with the motor fitting in the bay since the intake manifold is so close to the front end? |
I thought a2 was the Si motor. |
congrats! |

I found a k20a3 for $900 bucks in Stanwood, WA. yeah you need to hack away at your radiator support to fit the intake manifold in. you just have to reweld it. not too hard. I plan to get either RAzz Cams and K-pro or Save and swap a Type R head on it. with a 6 speed tranny. |

But when I do mine I'm just gonna look for all of the stock components of a Type-S and just do a total under-the-hood swap, tranny and everything all at once. |
dam nice job bro btw where did u get the japanese license plate? |
smae prob with belt.... used a 6 rivot instead of 7 for now.... not running ac either. |
A friend made it for me.... |
^ About the plate.. not really feeling it, and even so, your cars a coupe = no jdm. Motors hot though ~n~ |
nice. there was an a2 with tranny in spokane,wa for 1800, i didnt get it, someone with an ek hatch did. |
Well I just ordered the right Serpentine Belt 50.5" not going to run PS for now. |
thats really nice man. great deal. im happy for ya. |
Looking good. Did u drop the motor in from the top or lift it from the bottom? Also, how hard was it to install your clutch/brake pedals for the swap, alot of drilling? |
sweet swap man. hats off to you |

I dropped the motor in from the top. it was really easy with a engine hoist. The clutch and brake pedal swap was kinda a bitch because of the location and postion of them. once i got the old brake pedal off it was easy to install the new one. The clutch master cylinder installment was a bitch but thank god that was done when there was nothing in my engine bay. With the EX model there was no firewall drilling needed it was already pre-drilled for the clutch pedal just had to make the cut for the clutch master cylinder and put it in there. |
SICK...you should leave yur ecu like that...its more jdm |
LOL yeah who needs a glove box |

yea newb question.. why cant a coupe be JDM? do they just not made 2 doors in japan? cuz thats really stupid IMO, coupe>sedan if you ask me. AWESOME motor bro, im really feelin it, nice deal, 900 bucks is sweet, which it were mine. |
eh ... $1800 is waaaaaay too much for a k20a2 tranny .. you can get a k20a tranny for that much. hmm ... oem ep3 belt works just fine on my car ... ;P |

I think I havn't spent that much money as it would cost others. aren't you still missing some pieces? well, get ready to spent lots of money. |
