My 3 friends dynos
 

Ok so this weekend my friends went to the dyno. My friends 2004 Gto pumped out 300 whp with a intake. My other friends Camaro ls1 with intake exhaust hypertech throttle body and maf got 260whp the tuner said there is something wrong with his car and i have never seen anyone so sad about a car in my life. Also what suprised everyone there was a Cobalt which pumped out 220whp stock. They are rated 205 so i guess everyone was right they are completely underrated. I just thought i let you guys know there dynos, this was on a 104 degree day.

I want proof on the Cobalt. Sounds like super b.s. to me

everything sounds straight, except damn I can imagine how the guy with the camaro was feelin

What probably happend was that they did the dyno in 3rd gears but for the SS/SC the 4th gear is a better 1:1 ratio.

The Cobalt SS is VERY underrated from GM. The LS1 and 260rwhp should take his hypertech programming off and get a real dyno tune. Tell him also to ditch the MAF. The stock one is MUCH better. Also, if he does not have a dyno tune, the larger TB will not work right. Let him know to do research next time before buying mods... just dont go nuts ordering garbage from the Jegs catalog.

The cobalt was really suprising to me. Yeah the guy with the camaro just buys everything since he can. its still pretty fast. You guys should have seen his face. I thought the gto would maybe pump out more but then again the weather kills everyone in arizona

do you think the cobalt was underrated for avoid any type of emission or restrictions in the states?

otherwise, manfactuers should start underrating there cars... so drivers wouldnt know whats comming to them lol.

but for the camaro... maybe the owner didnt have great maintanece on it? like maybe it was dynoed with pretty bad darken motor oil or hasnt seen a tune up for awhile.. idk. possibilities

IT was probably underrated for insurance reasons ford did that with the Taurus Sho which had way more hp than 220
