Latest news on my STi......still miss the Civic tho.
 

I have done some stuff this summer. Tints, Color matched the rims to the Black Sti, FMIC from Turbo XS and intake from TXS. Oh yeah....I got it tuned with a UTEC and made 308whp and 318 Ft lbs. Stock turbo with a catback, and stock manifolds. I was very surprised. My injectors are maxed at 18 lbs. of boost. Next step is bigger turbo.....enjoy!

Very nice man, how much hp you looking to get out of it? I know as much as you can but what are you shooting for.

it nice. i thought that the FMIC doesnt do much for WRXs and the top mount intercooler was more efficient???

the stock scoop is for the intercooler... but since he got a front mount... I guess this would be a good idea.

STI's put 300 to the crank, which translates into like 270 or so at the wheels. When you dyno a car its going by the hp rated at the wheels so yea hes gained close to 40 with what hes got. Well at least i hope hes talking about how much he has at the wheels...

Actually, with the S-AWD drivetrain, the STi's (each STi varies slightly) lose 21% HP to the wheels. So in essence, they are around 237AWHP. So hes done quite a lot. Very impressive TQ numbers as well.

you should get a new up- and downpipe.. that will add a lil more HP

Evo is a way better pic ic then. Still nice car thou. Not worth it thou for the money youve spent.

if you have your injectors maxed out then why wouldnt you just got get bigger ones instead of getting a bigger turbo.

you mean turbo elbow. Yea man... 3 inch dp, cat back would kick ass... Or just for kicks. Remove the exhaust at the turbo elbow... You'll get some great power... That is if you can reach the damn thing. I know factory turbo's are usually hard to get to.

I was just read your mod list in your signiture, and Im kinda suprised your running a MBC. You havent had any problems with the open loop fuel system? Or was the UTEC configured with a fix for it?

I know they hold boost better than an electric boost controller, but I thought it was a problem on the 04/05 Suby's.

They are 19 psi because they run a huge turbo to make up for it being a 2.0 liter. STi's are 2.5 liters so they run smaller turbo's and less boost. The VF39 is only good for about 322 whp and 375 lbs of torque. I don't have headers/uppipe or downpipe. Nextmods tho. It'll make my torque go way up and add a little HP. After that its a big turbo, fuel rails and 816cc injectors.

If an STi can run lower boost and make more power then an EVO which runs higher boost, how is the EVO better? :_doh:
