Just bought an SiR

Well like the title says guyz i just went out traded my vic 2 door for the SiR and well after driving it aroudn for a night or afternoon i decided it needed a few things.

1) more agressive cams
2) intake
3) exhaust

if anyone has had experience with and parts that would help me out in these areas it would be appreciated because i have done almost zero research on the 2.0l motor and i need guidance to correct mistake i have made before. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

i/rh/e/hondata for n/a (or you could go f/i if you want big power)

.

ADS 08-05-2005 06:17 PM

n/a what?

sorry tired

scatman 08-05-2005 06:21 PM

n/a = naturally aspirated (no turbo or supercharger)

turbo and s/c = f/i (meaning forced induction)

S2000man01 08-05-2005 06:25 PM

yup. cold air intake, race header, exhaust, and hondata ecu reflash. that'd give you some excellent gains.

sweet boyz i dont feel handicapped by the potential of this motor the way i did with the d17 true untrue? driving the car for like 3 hours was enough i cant say enough my coupe even being drop with neuspeed springs and konis didnt feel like it handled as well. drop for this one is coming just need to see with what.

in my opinion.....

aem v2
dc-sports 4-1 race header
(w/ race header, you wont need an exahust...since the only r/h out that fits the ep os the one for the rsx-s, you just need to find an rsx midpipe and you can run a stock axle back. the factory mufflers on the si can handle upwards to 300 whp)

Im very disappointed with the new Si, for a 2.0L iVtec it makes POOR power, i would sell it an but a 99-00 Si, but thats just me. Id take this jackson racing super and bolt it on, and ull finally get some usable power.

Notice the 2002 2.0L iVtec Si only has 125.3 Hp to the wheels and the 99-00 1.6L DOHC Vtec gets a whopping 138.0 hp
