Stock hood or Carbon fiber??? I thinking about getting a Seibon OEM Style Carbon Fiber Hood is this a bad idea??? should I get it or not?.. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y21.../DSC010272.jpg |
yes kuz its so light weight |
i dont really like unpainted hoods, "carbon fiber" or not... is ay nay, keep the clean one color look. carbon fiber hoods for our cars is just for looks |
I don't think it's really a 'bad' idea per se, it's more of a cosmetic thing. The only thing you'll really have to consider is, will you like the look of it on your car? CF looks pretty damn cool, and is lightweight (but I don't think that's the main reason you'd get it).. so it's really up to you. |
i think it looks nice on white, silver, and black cars, im gettin one soon, it looks REALLY hot on white cars though |
stay stock |
i think it would look pimpin. i think it looks best on white |
I'm debating on that too but I need to replace my hood. I am going for the carbon fiber look b/c it not too much more than a stock hood but your car looks good so I say use that money for a system, or engine parts. |

i think keep it stock.. unless you want to do street racing or something |
the carbon fiber hoods for our cars arent real carbon fiber in the sense that its entirely carbon fiber. it is more lightweight than a stock hood, but its not that light. its just a carbon fiber overlay. real carbon fiber costs MUCH more. |

ok. nice look under the hood btw. um...carbon fiber hoods are like 14 pounds. stock hoods are like 40. its a weight reduction choice. if your doing it just to look good i guess it would be good for both reasons. but it will make the crap 25 pounds lighter. that is alot |
i don't mind CF hoods but i think white vics look so good with stock hoods. im jealous of everyone with a white 'vic. |
i have a silver vic and am planning to get a carbon fiber hood... im not really a fan of them on a black civ cause imo its not as noticeable.. but still looks good either way.. i would do the cf on ur whip!!! |
