Battery relocation PICS 8 Attachment(s) sup guys, saw a few battery relocations done and i decided to get the summit racing kit and do it too, check it out. i think it maks the engine bay look alot better, i ran the positive cable under the car, i didnt know how it would hold up against the elements, so i ran it through a clear rubber line to protect it, the line goes from the trunk floor all the way to the engine bay where it is sealed so no water has any chance of getting to the cable. i also ran an line to the block to better ground out the battery. http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=52143&stc=1 http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=52144&stc=1 http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=52142&stc=1 http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=52141&stc=1 http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=52145&stc=1 http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=52150&stc=1 http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=52151&stc=1 http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=52152&stc=1 |

looks really good man |
looks real good! one suggestion/question... are you thinking of putting some kind of sealant on the tube that is going into the bottom of your trunk to avoid water leakage or is it a sleve that goes all the way though that I didnt see...? just wondering... looks good tho! |
looks good. i wanna do this. ar eu running stock battery? any start delay's or problems? :) i wanna put two in the well of my trunk |
is that the summit racing kit? i want to do this... edit: i'm taking my own advice and reading the first post :hithead: :hithead: :hithead: :hithead: :hithead: |
your ride is tight ! any worries about leaving your battery cable exposed ? cable could be cut and car broken into in no time without tripping alarm if you have one ? for some reason I just don't think running the cable under the car seems to be a good idea. open space under hood seems odd too, but it may just be the camera angle. |
that is lookin great! hott ride keep it up! |
1 Attachment(s) Looks good here is my setup,Wanted to have better access to battery. |
Now you can relocate your air filter. I think you would get better flow putting it where the battery used to be. |
if u wouldnt mind robo i would like to express my luv for ur car in its exhaust |

looks good man, this summer im doing that only instead of moving the battery to the trunk im putting another one in the trunk, itll run my alarm system and remote start |
haha yha i wouldnt e worried about the power being cut. i would have wrapped it in black tubing. and mointed it flish up under there. im going to do that hows teh ignition response. and is it stock batt? |
Nice Relocation.... Lovin' the turbo setup... |
everything feels the way it did before the relocate, and no i got a optima red top |
red top. proabyl wut does it. i hear moving the stock can give delay's.. damnit. guess i need to spring for some 1/0.. damned expensive :( |
OH if u instal an alarm PLEASE make sure they run the constant power from the battery threw the inside of the car. and NOT out of the engine bay ! |
