A little update on Abmerop18's car from the accident
 

As some of you may remember, on March 1 Abmerop18 had a pretty bad accident in which some guy hit him at 40 mph on the freeway when it was snowing really bad. The other guy is completely at fault and his insurance is covering all of it. Originally it was thought that the car would be totaled, but it is not, so he is doing his best to make the best out of the situation.

As of right now, 3 weeks later, they have all the parts ordered and began cutting out the body panels to weld new ones it. Needless to say, the car looks naked in its current state.

Abmerop18 using this accident to upgrade his car as well :D Insurance bought him a CF trunk because the stock one was completely damaged and it cost just as much as a new OEM one plus paint. It is the Vis CF trunk. Insurance is also getting him the 04 civic tails. He also got a very nice radar from insurance since the Cobra one broke in the accident. They got him the Escort Passport 7500S Radar detector.

The latest word is that it will be finished in hopefully 1.5-2.5 weeks.

Wowzer complete trunk replace, and the rail. good to see it on a Car-o-Liner frame machine very precice measurment. Just make sure he checks all his fitments. looks like a good shop though shouldnt have any probs :)

the shop where i take my car works to be done repairs cars that been hit in the back all the time. they jus cut off the area and attach another back end to it. after all is done its looks good as new.

Been there with a front end collision. Hopefully they get everything true and it will be good as new.

The rear of his car is cut out looks like mine..finally someone on this board has a car that looks just as horrible as mine. Keep us posted with the progress of his car!

What happened to abermop (sp)? He used to be one of the biggest post whores on this site...............then he disappeared...............? Hope hes ok after the accident.

man i don't think i'd want the car after so much damage. i'd fix it then sell it. just my opinion. BTW didn't someone Abmerop18 knew make an 04-05 grill? did that turn out? he just got banned before the production was finished.
