Hardwired the Detector.. pic I got bored today so I decided to hardwire the radar detector... i think it looks pretty good. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...i/P2270005.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...i/P2270004.jpg |
ducky will bust a cap in your ass if you mess with it... |
cool but you should move it over closer to the light, and take off as much of the excess cord as you can, that just looks kind of odd. just my 2 cents. |
the thing is... those black spots... i dont know what they are for or why they are there... but the radar WONT stick to it.. it just falls right off =(.. any way to get rid of those shaded spots? |
no sorry I didn't see that, it's either an anti glare measure, or may have to do with some type of sensor, I wouldn't mess with that., I guess you're just stuck with the big wire. |
I want to do this too... How did you do it? |
just glue it |
OR i can use a velcro pad..................... ah ha.. i got the DIY on ephatch.com blahman.. its very easy |
i been meaning to do that when i had one....looks good. |
can you post a direct link to it on ephatch.com?? Please? |
I think its for glare, my 01 doesnt have it and when the sun is placed just right it blinds the hell out of me because the visors wont block the sun from that spot over the mirror. |

nice work how long did it take? |
thats nice. good work. im going to do that when i move out of virginia. no detectors allowed here. |
now it get stolen |
It took me about 25 mins. I just wanted to be safe so and I don't have a printer so I had to run back in just to check on certain stuff. Once you cut the wires its pretty easy.. so |
Looks clean..good job. can't mess with the duck. |
