How much $$ for my Vic?

well guys its time to upgrade. i have a 2001 ex now but i think it's time to let her go and get a type-s. how much do you guys think i should post my car for? Its a silver 2001 ex. about 57k miles. r34 urethane front. xenon sides and rear. tyc headlights. tail lights. rims. intake. exhaust. strut bar. tie bar. alpine headunit. jbl 1200 amp 2 type r 12's. mx radio. dvd player. two headrest monitors. street glow in and out. custom trunk enclosure. im tryin to get the most i can for it so its less that i have to put towards the rsx  thanks

screw the rsx and buy the k20a2 and boost it....civic i think looks better and is lighter

do you have your stock stuff? it might be hard to trade in with all that aftermarket stuff if that is whatyour planning on doing.. part it out then trade it in stock..

kempster 02-23-2005 03:45 PM

i was just offered 7k with everything on and 9500 stock for a 2002 ex coupe with 43k miles. so i'm almost done taking everything off so i can get my new car

Trade in value for your vehicle once you part it out should be around $9200
Private Party Value should be around $11,800

ive seen 2001 civics in the newspaper for around 9500 or so. thats in stock, not modified. so subtract a lil for modified plus its not even lowered so that makes it look funky too.

I'm guessing around $10...

Pictures would be a lot more helpful in deciding it because of the condition of it... Some people keep their cars real clean and in great shape, others let it go after a few years... Post some pics!

I think the civics body style is way nicer then any rsx . civic have a longer body style and look better but the rsx has a better cockpit.

How much hp do our civics push with a turbo set-up

I'm guessing if he's put that into it, he kept it clean and in real good condition. But I would say, 8-9  probably the same as stock if you're lucky. I know when I buy a car, I avoid any modified car because modified car tend to be driven harder, not saying you beat your car, just telling you what I do. Then agian, if I wanted a K20 civic, you bet I would just buy one already done. sad thing is a guy on here has a K20 civic he bought with a K20, I think he piad close to what the car cost used in stock form.

doubledeuce2k2 02-23-2005 06:05 PM

^^^ you talkin bout me? my monthly payment went down $1 when i bought the k20 swapped civic (largely do to better interest rate). insurance dropped a tad (new car has SRS, alarm). and insurance doesn't know about my motor ;).

you've made a big commitment to the vic with the kit. just depends on what you like. if you want a more cushy, quiet ride but still sporty FWD, get the RSX.

Sad to see another 7Gen lost to a newer car. ;[

yeah i was thinking about parting it out. i have most of the stock stuff around here. well while we're on the subject i have a set of skunk 2 coilovers that havent been taken out of the box that i was gonna put on before i decided to sell it. let me know if anyones interested. i'll let them go at a reasonable offer
