help for a friend who want to buy 01 vic
 

hey

I have a friend who wants to buy a 4 door 01 civic lx with 50,000 miles, automatic for 10,000. I know it is too much, what do you guys think??? :help:

its a used certified honda 01 civic

if its in great shape 9-10 grand sounds about right...check kelly blue book price for it

he could proably get a EX coupe for that much

I'd say that sounds about right... I bought my '01 EX Coupe AT at the beginning of '04 for $13k out the door. I'd say def. check KBB though. :sweet:

Kinda OT, but nice to know that my car is only worth a little 'bit less than what I paid for it, and I owe quite a 'bit less than that now. :sweet:

I dont think that price is to bad but he should go for the Ex

yeah if you want i'll sell your friend my 2001 Civic 22,000 miles for $10K

do him a favor and tell him to stay away from the 01. they had a bunch of bugs and glitches that were worked out in the 2002. i had an 01 LX sedan and i would highly recommed the following years. and $10k is too much for that car w/ 50k miles on it.

also, id go w/ the EX instead of the LX. chances are you might not be able to find an LX w/ a CD player since that was an option in 01, but standard on the EX. also EX has a sunroof.

Definately go for the EX/Coupe/5SPD... What is he thinking going LX/SEDAN/Auto? No offense to any people on the site.

wow...10g..I think that is wayyyy to much..welll it really depends on the condition of the vehicle, but dang ...he can get 05 LX for like 15g.... I would never pay 10g for that used car....i dunno this is my opinion...

if it is certified than it has an additional warranty right? It's good. Go for it. Or tell your friend to go for it.

Don't know if this helps but I(aka my dad...I'm lucky) paid 12,500(I think) for my 01 EX sedan fully loaded and with leather. It had 29,000 miles on it. This was back in June '04

10k doesnt seem too bad...for a dealer price. If he looked around at private parties selling civics, he could do better imo, but he won't have that warranty.

dude i'll sell him my kitted out 01 dx 5-speed sedan, with ex swap, and fresh paint for 11k. only 5,200 on the car.
