Gauges

1 Attachment(s)
Hey I recently purchased some headlights and since they were on back order and came in late, the shop gave me some gauges and an a pillar. Heres what they look like.. By the way can someone tell me what is needed to hook up water and oil?

Water temp requires a fitting that goes in the radiator return hose
Oil pressure requires a T fitting in the pressure port in the back of the block.

zachgeyer 02-13-2005 10:18 PM

Well you need to make the radiator hose fitting. I'm not aware of any commercially available ones besides GReddy's, and Greddy's has a BSPT threaded hole, and most of the senders are NPT (you can't put one in the other). If you can find a sensor port for a 30mm radiator hose and 1/8" NPT threads, the install is as simple as cutting 1/2" out of the radiator hose, clamping the fitting in place and plugging in the wire. If you have to make it, then you need a machine shop.
The oil fitting is a bit easier, just some stainless line and a T fitting are what you need.
Depends how handy you are with the car and making things fit.

For the water gauge sensor I found a billet one made for a NSX that you could possibley use that is only $29.00

Instead of the DIY for the Oil sensor you can use the followiung

Oil sandwich adapter universal $68

The aluminum oil sandwich adapter is installed between the oil filter and block, and makes it easy to install aftermarket oil temp/pressure sensors (2 1/8 BSPT ports and 1 12mm port). Lowers oil filter by 30mm.
