Nice, did you do it yourself?

skipbarber 02-13-2005 08:05 PM

my coworker and i tried to do his today...we tried to use a heat gun to open them up but that didnt work too well. 04-05 have to be placed in the oven.

HondaGuy12 02-13-2005 08:25 PM

Yeah, I'm wondering too.

no i didn't do it myself, i just bought them off a member here, but looking back at it now it is a pretty simple diy. all you need to do is follow the diy instructions. i don't regret getting blacked out either ince i'm not a big fan of chrome. the less the better. how can you deny it anyways it looks pretty good.

Boost_Junkie 02-13-2005 10:41 PM

god that looks nice, i cant wait to get my hands on your stock headlights and get crackin :sweet:

Al Gore FTW 02-14-2005 03:14 AM

yeah, i would def need another set of headlights to even attempt anything like that. looks good though

Akutenshi 02-14-2005 04:23 AM

its really not that hard. just got to be carefull while your doing it, so you dont brake nething. its a great project to do, especially if ur not confident in doing much things yourself, because its pretty easy.

ragingSPAM 02-14-2005 05:23 AM

indeed welcom to the club chub

allmotor 02-14-2005 12:01 PM

looks nice

vtecd17 02-14-2005 12:05 PM

04 looks SOOO much better blacked out, I still love my lights, even tho I got a little bit of fog in the right one, still looks nice as hell!!

Make sure you seal urs up with some silicon to keep the moisture out.

Honda2k4 02-14-2005 12:19 PM

kornised what did u do with the reflector piece?

cubanmike26 02-14-2005 12:54 PM

Nice work kornished! Did you guys run into any problems at all?
I want to do mine too, but the whole taking the glass off the headlight thing has me a little concerned, but from what everyone says, it shouldn't be that hard.

JCiv03 02-14-2005 01:02 PM

Yeap, looks pretty good!

The reflector piece got painted over. i never did the actual blacking out myself. i bought them already blacked out. shoving them in the oven to make them come apart should be easy. using silicone to reseal is easy as well just don't make a mess of it because you can see it a little bit when up close.

Very nice, I love blue/black color combos! I dont know about 04 DIY Clearing of headlights, but I did my 01 and it took less than a 1/2 hour including taking off the front bumper and everything, suppose that if you black it out, obviously it will take a little longer to paint, lol but you get the idea...

Mr.Modify 02-14-2005 03:43 PM

pretty sweet

Fiji-Steve 02-15-2005 02:15 PM

fiji steve will never fall to the dark side! w00t w00t!

I think specifically for the fiji blue, the headlights look better and cleaner left alone....

be on the lookout for my pics posted of my 04' tommorrow morning, i got my lambos installed this past weekend....

kornsined 02-15-2005 02:17 PM

lambos  hey we can't all do the same mods, we have to be different.
