What do I do with my totaled Civic 01? Well here it is I mashed my car up in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and so as some people know we have some of the highest insurence rates in the country. Any ways the thing is that for some stupid reason my car is not cover at all and I am left with a repair cost estimated at about $13,000. So my question is to all you out there that could help is What can I do with my car so that I can get some of the money of the car back if that is at all possible? |
do u have alot of mods done to it? Atleast some that are still in good condition? I say part it out on ebay or sell locally..that way you atleast get some money back... PS. Any racing seats? Lol let me know.. |
what parts are still good? ill take the windshield! and the drivers door and the entire front clip (no eng and no tranny) j/k .. but i do need those parts... :( |
well if you have 13k in damage, what is left on your car that isnt damaged. |
Damn tough break. |
Thats sucks. |
wtf........how come you are not covered......i would fight that. |
Ouch, not covered? That sucks. But I'll buy any and all plastic and metal clips if you do part it out. Sorry for you. My brothers RSX got totaled, and he was not covered either. The fool had liability only. A $32,000 loss with all the mods. Shame. I know the insurance co. was popping champagne corks when they checked his insurance level. |
ok well i will try and get some pics up but other wise what I can say is that its looks fine except for the front bumper and windshield the reason they are saying it is going to cost a lot is that the frame needs to be readjusted. As well as what I am guessing is that the when i hit the pole it slid a fair distance under the car so there may be damage there, but the car does start and go into gear. Well if any one is looking for Motegi MR7 rims that are chrome and 17's with rubber for $1800 CND or best offer. |
Sorry to hear about that. My Civic just got involved in an accident too recently. It's a $1600 damage. I have liability so yea, it's going to come out from my own pocket. $13,000 damage, in my opinion, I don't think it's worth it for you to fix it. With that much amount of money, you might as well buy another used Civic or add a little more for a brand new one if you still want to have the Civic. Just like some people mentioned here, I also think you better off just part it out. |
the question about insurance, well the answer to that is its Alberta and Edmonton Canada there are no strict regulations against insurence companies so they can charge and do what they like when they like. After saying that I am no longer driving until I am 25 and right now I am 21. I will miss my car and I do now, when you feel how nice and sexy it is to drive and then rip the rubber from underneath a BMW that person miss his or her car like that one hot temping girlfriend did. |
I understand how you feel. I haven't been driving my Civic for about a month & a half now. I definitely miss it. |
