99-00 Si or 02-03 Si wheels?

I have a chance to get a set of either 99-00 Si or 02-03 Si wheels. Both of them are the same price and both of them are in great condition. I'm not sure which way to go. The guy with the 99-00 wheels wants to sell *now*. The guy with the 02-03 wheels is still a little sketchy on them. I think he's trying to hold out for a bit more money, after another friend of mine told him they were $2000, brand new. So we'll see on that one.

What would you guys do? Get the 99-00 wheels or hold out for the 02-03 wheels?

99-00 si wheels they will go for about 500 on ebay

MY01HX 01-11-2005 07:35 AM

99 Si is the way I would go!

Well, my buddy is supposed to be coming by after awhile so I can take a look at his 99 Si wheels. He says they're in good shape. No curb rash or anything. One wheel has some spraypaint overspray or something on it though. We'll see.

99-00 wheels, i love these wheels i think there the best honda came out with beside the new S-2000 ones. I own a 00 Si and love those wheels. Expensive as hell to buy tho. Id say go 99-00 Si, but its your preference.

The 99-00 Si/03 EX wheels aren't *that* expensive. We can get them from hondaautomotiveparts.com for $132/wheel. That's $528 for the set before shipping, without tires. That's not too bad.

I see, that makes sense. Are they lighter than rota slipstreams?

Farage 01-11-2005 01:12 PM

i have them and love em. they are about 12 pounds a wheel. slips are 11.7 pounds, i think.

Shlomo 01-11-2005 02:01 PM

who made the 03 si wheels and how much do those weigh?

Those si wheels are freak nasty light. I basically thought they were gonna be a like any other regular OEM wheel.

Farage 01-11-2005 03:47 PM

and the 03 si wheels are 19 or 20 lbs per wheel

thats a huge diff.

Boilermaker1 01-11-2005 03:58 PM

EM1 SI wheels are 16 lbs, I don't know where someone came up with 12. HX wheels weigh 12, but they're 14x5.5
EP3 SI wheels are 20
Thats all the information you should need to pick.
