the caliper looks like that because while i was waiting for the battery to charge for the power drill, i decided to clean it. so it's only half cleaned haha. i got lazy and it was getting dark fast. tomorrow i might clean it better if i have time. i'm going to finish the other side tomorrow after work and i'll break them in and let you know how they feel. |
mwahaha I will have my brembo blanks and hawk pads in tomorrow afternoon. paying to get it done though because i'm pimp like that. :p |
well well well... i got the other side done this afternoon. it took me about 30 minutes as compared to the other side yesterday taking forever. things go much easier with the correct tools. tip for those thinking about doing this, go out and buy the impact screwdriver, $15 will save you hours and aches and pains. i just got back from driving it, breaking them in. they feel nice. i feel some good gripping going on. and best of all, no more screeching brakes. the verdict:   TIP of advice... after driving and breaking in the brakes, DO NOT touch the rotors... i accidentally put my palm on the rotor when i was re-torquing everything making sure it was all tight and now i have a huge burn on my hand, ouch! but hey... you haven't christened the car until you've bled and burned yourself working on it. |
how much for the whole kit (FRONT only i assume) with tools need (think my older bro has an impact driver set if im not mistaken!) ~Joey |

sweet! |
update again... i just drove to and from school. i love these brakes... they are awesome. a lot more brake feel with less pressure on the pedal. |
where did you buy it from? send link? I am planning to change my rotor this weekend. |

Are they lighter than stock? |
i guess same weight.......same dimen. |

do your brakes screech at all? i just got back from getting mine installed and they have a slight screech, but all the grip. |
