yeah you're right. i 'had' amber lights, but they burned out right away, cheap ass bulbs i bought at some ricer shop, i should have known better. so i have the stock ones back in. i haven't been stopped yet, i had the orange reflectors out for probably around a year now and no hassle from the fuzz.

i'll take some pics tomorrow, i just finished it tonight around 6:30 and my mom's car is infront of the garage so i can't backout. i'll wash my baby tomorrow and get some new pics. i really like how they came out. putting the painters tape to block out the sides took awhile, but i think it looks nicer than when the whole thing is blacked out.

Skunk2ner 11-06-2004 11:54 PM

just looked at my bulbs package from when i bought them, sylvania 9007 CB cool blue's. halogen bulbs, not HID's

Day_Tripper 11-06-2004 11:55 PM

thanks man, i'm glad you think so. it took me a long time to get the painter's tape nice and straight lines to do it. but it came out well!

any heat resistant paint will do. i used a more flat black color as opposed to a gloss black, i thought the gloss black wouldn't look as nice. satin finish black would be the best choice i say. i bought it at Lowes, but home depot or home base, whatever, they'll have it too. just ask someone where the heat resistant spray paints are. make sure you get painter's tape too if you want to make it like mine (or you could just make the whole thing black). my paint is heat resistant up to 1200 degrees F, so i think i'm safe :D

silvrbreez02 11-08-2004 07:23 AM

Looks good man! I went ahead and painted the inside of that small ciricle area too, but that's just me. Had painter's tape and all, but was just trying for something different. They both look good IMHO. Nice job.

Bmkarr 11-08-2004 07:28 AM

they look great, good job

soonercivic 11-09-2004 06:54 PM

those are nice. i dont like the dull black on my twin halos, you think that i could repaint them with that high temp paint to make em match better? the black in them is pretty flat now.

Mainstray 11-09-2004 08:54 PM

Looks good!

RiceRocketeer 11-09-2004 09:23 PM

Those look hot.. good job
