Selling one of my rides to buy a LOTUS!
 

Im selling my 2003 s10 pickup to buy an 1984 Lotus Esprit turbo. For those of you who have never seen one, it’s a mid engine rear drive 2 seater powered by a 2.2L turbo 4 cylinder w/ double 2 barrel carbs. The body looks a lot like an Lamborghini Countach, minus the vertical doors and spoiler. The problem is that I have to sell my s10 first and the guy is only going to hold on to the car for 2 weeks. Assuming that I sell my s10 in time Ill have some pics up of the Lotus up soon. Although its not a very fast car (14’s, 138 mph top speed) it is one of the best handling cars Iv’e ever driven.

i own the wings west s10 and have tons of money invested. its a 01 and lately ive been thinking about selling too. but i have done some searching and realistically the truck looses value quickly. they are a dime a dozen and can be had fo much cheaper than you have it listed for. it is possible to get what your asking but in 2 weeks time it might be rough. good luck selling it though and if you want to get some s10 owners to take a look at it then go to www.s10forum.com and post it in the for sale section. good luck

you are gonna take a show car with a brand new paint job and a chrome intercooler up front in the winter?? bad idea man. that paint is gonna get chipped from the salt then look like crap the next year. i would get a beater if i was you. if i spent as much money as you on my car to make it look good, i sure as hell would not drive that thing through one winter. alot more accidents in the winter too. what happens if someone slids into your car and messes up the paint?

is this kind you are getting?...it's a big gamble with the age it has on it, but good luck..

thats the previous generation, the one Im getting has the same body but is 210 HP.

Its not a show car, its a street car and the paint is a year old and got messed up coming home form nopi last year. And my intercooler is just plain un polished aluminum. And hey if someone hits the car thats why I have insurence....

ahh what snow there is not enough snow here to screw up a paint job we get hit good like NEVER all we get is ice..... this lotus is so sweet i rode with him as he test drove it i couldnt believe the dude came out with the keys in his hands at 9oclk at night and gave em to two 20 year olds

Yeah MR cars handle so well, and although I love my civic I miss oversteer....... Im gonna keep the vic no matter what, but I've been in the market for an exotic for a while now.

No, its an american spec. The only difference is that, and it has a catalytic converter (not for long though).

Why would I want a lotus w/a toyota engine?
