i wouldn't beleave it if i didn't hear it and see it. My car is finally running!!! And not bad to considering its running on the Civic ECU.

We're gonna be buttoning everything up on monday and bringing it to Minakee and Acura, but the important part is done.

It only took us 2 hours to put Hasports fantastic harness and and on first shot it fired right up, i was in aww.

Well looks like the longest k20 swap is over.

Curious... how is your DOHC engine running on an SOHC computer? Do you just not have things hooked up?
And where is the K-series computer?

well it usually runs just fine, just the ivtec wont engage... basically the computer is just used to fire the spark plugs

how is it running? like crap. does it work, yes. The fuel map is way off, running really rich, but it runs, not good, but runs.

I have the RSX ecu, i'm goin to be bring the car to acura on monday to have the rsx ecu flashed to work with my civics immobilizer, then it will be done.

Congrats... Guess you don't need a new years resolution pertaining to your car now after everything else is through...

Actually i want to bring it to the honda dealership where i bought the car and ask "Does this void my warenty?"

Or just bring it in for a oil change and look at the expresions on their faces :confused:

Mine took 2 months. Why did start on a civic ECU??? Why didn't you go with the DC(RSX TYPE-R) like I did? Alot more power better tranny and I have a differential. I wanted to ask what are you running for struts??

i used the Civic ECU to make sure everything worked right and the car started. I'm not leaving it in there, i have the RSX ECU, i just need to get it flashed to work with my immobilzer system.

and why didn't i use the Type R. You find an entire wrecked DC5-R in the US for 5500 bucks and i'll buy it. And with just a motor (like you got) i wouldn't get the leather, the 5 lug with rear disc brakes. So what not lsd, i can buy it for 600 bucks.

Hey Acura will work with you they did with me. Obiviously you warranty is gone but Acura still wants your money and you can count on having serviced there. Also I had a question about your swap. Did you use the 01 Civic cooling temp sensor that screws in the head? If you use the RSX the motor will idle high and tell you the car can be over heating. Now here is how I got the DC5. I didn't just buy a motor!! I bought a front clip for $12,000 with less than 100 miles on the motor. I then sold the dash, bumper, lights, gauges and everything in the car by then I had only paid about $4,000 for the motor. The guy who had it in Japan was getting his car serviced and we pulled out of honda he got nailed by truck and totaled the rear end but everything front the front seats was mint.
