Tein S Tech & Camber Kit queston

hi, i just ordered some tein s tech springs (1.3 front, 1.4 back) and ingalls rear camber kit.... now should i even bother with a front kit?... i'm kinda on a tight budget and can't shell out the extra 20 at the moment :(

thanks!

Nah. you don't need a front one. It won't make a difference. Maybe one day invest in one because it helps with alignments sometimes with lowered cars. But for your low drop, I wouldn't bother now.

cool thx.

Might wanna get them just in case man :)

Wanger 04-30-2003 05:47 PM

well too late i'll get them later i guess if i need to. i just ordered from Rob at tornative for $83 shipped (rears).

eXNBP 04-30-2003 09:50 PM

Not bad for the rears. The fronts can be have at Les Scwhab for like $30 I think. They always stock those ones :)

I didn't need a front camber kit with my S. Tech's......I could use one for the rear.....I am riding on 215/40/17

where did you buy the s-techs from? i wanna see pics of the cars with it. how are they?

DizWikedCivic 05-04-2003 02:28 AM

a 1.4 drop wont be that bad on the camber, probably wont even need a camber kit

luvvegas777 05-04-2003 02:39 AM

you need the camber bolt kit for the front, wait and see, you will get inner tire wear, 30 bucks for the ingalls front kit, worth the money

he probably wont need a front camber kit with a 1.3" drop, probably wont be more than 1 degree, but it only 20 bucks for a front kit

hrm.. i dunno your the only one around here thats saying the front kit is needed for such a small drop. but your right about 30 bucks being worth it, i'll look into that in the near future.

civicvtec1ps 05-04-2003 03:01 AM

i dont have front camber kit . its fine.

Wanger 05-15-2003 02:52 PM

springs installed with a rear camber kit too, going to get an alignment next week. i'll post the results so we can end this thread and hope the newbies search for it :D

luvvegas777 05-16-2003 12:46 PM

i use to have h&r springs and they claimed a 1.3" drop front and rear,
and i did get inner tire wear, but the rear sagged also, so now i have tein ss coilovers. hope that helps, if your tires are $100+ each, then spending 30 dollars is very well worth it

Wanger 06-09-2003 02:57 AM

yeah got the alignment done awhile back with the teins on and the front was off by 0.13 degrees :D so no a front camber kit is not required.
