Teins Installed - pics

Well the weather here was forgiving enough to allow me to install my TeinSS coilovers and SPC camber kit. I took a two pics and forgive the quality ill have better once coming soon after the wash and detail. The ride is awesom and it feels much more responsive, it looks a lot better now and im very pleased with the overall feel, price and comfort of this system.

Looks great. How's the spring rate. Comfortable? Bouncy? Stiff?

RedDragon333 04-07-2003 06:59 PM

The spring rate is comfrtable. I set the dampers pretty stiff. Only complaint if you set them stiff you get a little rattle over heavy bumps but on a freeway and regular city driving they feel great. Stll adjusting the dampers till i get them where i like them.

NICE WORK man .. for sure the look is amazing ... better than that pick in the storage area ... looked like an suv.
Now you got a phat clean ride

Just wondering if that is the lowest the teins can go.

jwsisme 04-07-2003 08:55 PM

EternalBluePearl 04-07-2003 09:17 PM

can somebody post a part # for sedan and where can we get it for cheap

thanks

RedDragon333 04-07-2003 09:55 PM

thE Teins can go a little lower but i didnt want to go too low because of my area. They can go about 2ins from stock is the recommneded hieght adjustment which is exac tally what i wanted. I didnt want it too low since its a daily driver and im on my way to get a kit.

DizWikedCivic 04-08-2003 12:18 AM

look good, need to lower it a lil more, forget finger gap, slammed that mofo haha jk

CarbonFly 04-08-2003 11:54 AM

TOOLOWCIVIC 04-08-2003 12:02 PM

Nice.

RedDragon333 04-08-2003 12:02 PM

Its already low enough for around here. Its too low to even fit on the alignment machine. Itll be lower come time for HIN houston :D

yea my car is to low for the machine :_doh:

sovereign82 04-08-2003 01:13 PM

hmmmm mine will be too low too then....are shops still able to align the car?

RedDragon333 04-08-2003 01:28 PM

yea but i had to go to a speciality shop that aligns lowered cars and trucks because the alignment machine that the other place had couldnt get me on w/o scraping

eXNBP 04-08-2003 01:31 PM

Try going to newer Alignment shops. Older alignment machines are the ones wehre you have to drive up a ramp, which is not lower friendly. Around Washington state I just went to a local tire/alignment shop that just opened and they had the ones where the workers had room under to walk freely and lift the car up 1" or so if they wanted to.

XTREME2K2CIVIC 04-08-2003 02:10 PM

Looks good man.. Those are the next things I'm buying after HIN Houston.. I will see you there RedDragon.. Martin told me he was trying to get a 7thGen Booth... I cant wait...

RedDragon333 04-08-2003 02:17 PM

i took care of the alignment thanks eXNBP, as far as HIN i was talking to Martin about repin www.7thgencivic.com at HIN so maybe we can get something going if you up ill tell him

RoadRunner 04-08-2003 11:37 PM

that would be awsome to have a booth, my car and some other friends will be featured at HIN from a local shop

Spazbitte 04-09-2003 09:25 AM

That car is sick. Good Taste. Keep us updated on how the teins hold up and how they ride.

japslapcivic 04-09-2003 10:09 AM

that looks pimp, i need to get coil-overs, and i want the tein setup, how much?

RedDragon333 04-09-2003 12:00 PM

i got mine for 1100 at a local shop. Best i could find was 1050 from some place with no internet site i figured pay the extra 50 for a local shop that way if i have any trouble i can go straight to them. AS far as HIN im stilling working on trying to get all the local 7thgens going but well see how it goes. The ride seems to be holding up great still feels smooth as ever and the shocks are riding great as well.

noname 04-10-2003 02:15 PM

looks good
I just got my coilovers to...

where did you get your camber kit from ??local shop?

Spazbitte 04-10-2003 02:25 PM

How much to install?

RedDragon333 04-10-2003 02:54 PM

i got the camber kit at www.tornactive.com for 159, i recommend SPC they are really a great setup. As far as the install i couldnt tell you due to the fact that i had several things done at the same time and i have a sponsership with my Dealership that allows me mad discounts on installs (i still do the work but in thier garage and keep all warranties)
