Help on installing driver side steering stablizer link

Hi guys,

This is my first posting at here.
When I had my front two tires changed today, I just found that the drive side steering stabilizer link is broken. So i just ordered a new one online, any help on how to install it by myself will be appreciated. Thanks.

And the car also got two CEL code: p0420 and p1457. Any suggestions.

The car is 2003 honda civic Ex couple, 60000mile. I found online that the CAT is under some warranty, but I don't know whether mine still under it or not? Is there any number I can call?

Thank you all.

You'll need an allen key (5mm i think) and a wrench (13mm ?). The allen key is to keep the threads from spinning when you undo the nut using the wrench.

Two things:

1) Spray the bolts and nut with PB blaster. Not wd-40, PB Blaster or equivalent. Let it sit for a few minutes.

2) Use the correct size and good quality allen key, make sure its a metric size. Do not use one that's all worn out on the ends. Buy one if you have to, don't cheap out.

Ignore these steps and you will end up with a stripped bolt and a big headache. While you're at it, do the other side as well, its probably gone too.

Do what scooty said.
Use a GOOD allen key. LOTS of pb blaster. Maybe even heat.

P0420-Catalyst system efficiency below threshold. Possibly from a bad cat. Have you driven with a check engine light for a long time?

P1457-Thats an evap code I think. Do you fill your car with it running? Do you make sure you tighten it three clicks? If not you could have a bad gas cap or something else. I would clear it and see if it comes back.
