185/70r14 to 215/75r14 I need some winter tires before the snow comes and I came across a set of 215/75r14 tires for a really good price. Since they are 14" rims will they replace 185/70r14 tires? I know they are a fair bit bigger but right now they're what I can afford. |
Re: 185/70r14 to 215/75r14 No. They are not going to fit. You are going to rub because those are pretty much truck tires. They would be severely pinched since your stock rim is only 6 inch wide whereas a 215 tire requires a seven or more inch wide rim. |

Re: 185/70r14 to 215/75r14 lift car about 2" and remove wheel well lining, maybe you can get lucky to make tire not shred everything from fenders to liners. tallal, 75 is a percentage of the section width, not height in mm |

Re: 185/70r14 to 215/75r14 I want to re open this thread i have an 03 civic no plastic line inside fenders and i have had 17" wheels in the past im back to stock and have a set of 215/70/14 i realy want them to fit anybody have any ideas or could trade? Opjnions plz how can i measure to see? Help! |
