RPMs drop in neutral causing shaking vehicle?

(2001 Honda Civic EX-Manual Transmission)

I always put my car in neutral whenever I am idling. However, recently I've noticed my RPMs drop very low (barely above zero) and the vehicle starts to shaking, and feels like it's about to kill. This only lasts for a few seconds and the RPM returns to normal (between 500 and 1000 rpm) and it steadies. Anyone know why it'd be doing this? I've been told replacing the O2 sensor and/or cleaning the IAC Valve might solve the problem. But would either of those cause the RPMs to drop like that? (Sorry I'm pretty new to this stuff)

Check engine light on?

Idle learn procedure?

I've tried the idle learn procedure. It helps the general shakiness a little bit. But the RPMs still dip really low causing it to shake. The check engine light has not come on and no codes are brought up.

You said you cleaned the IAC....is it actually working?
Have you cleaned the throttle body?

Did you disconnect the battery or pull the fuse to wipe out idle memory prior to doing the idle learn?

Has it jumped time by a tooth?

Any other possible clues, does it run wrong at any other point or condition?

Just tossin out a few ideas.

Looks like it was a faulty Throttle Position Sensor. Replaced the sensor, cleaned the IAC Valve and reset the idle memory. Seems to be fine now. Thanks for the help!
