left turn pop from right side hi all been trying to track down a problem and looking for some advice. whenever i made a left turn, i'd get a pop from the right side. looked under the car and sure enough the cv boot was all turn and grease everywhere. so i replaced the driveshaft and while i was at it replaced the ball joint and everything was good for awhile now i'm getting that pop back but this time, only when i'm making a left turn and going over a bump. going over bumps while straight there's no popping sound. right turn over a bump no pop. it's only when making a left turn and going over a dump. i've checked the sway bar endlinks and bushing though i don't think it was it. I'm at a loss and wondering if the brain trust here might be able to suggest any other possible issues. take care (edit) btw it's a 2002 acura el with is pretty much the same as the 7th gen hondas |
Re: left turn pop from right side inspect everything to do with the right front suspension, this is a long shot, but it could possibly be your right tie rod end |
Re: left turn pop from right side ^ really all you can do is reinspect everything. Jack it up and take the tire off, check every boot you can, a small tear or crack can still be a bad one. Also when was the last time you greased these parts? they may need some TLC. |
Re: left turn pop from right side thanks for the replies. the tie rod ends are fine. had the car up and tried to wiggle the wheel and it's solid and when driving i'm not noticing any play in the wheel. the car tracks straight as for greasing, beside the ball joint, what else is there to grease? take care |
