door lock
 
hi
i have honda civic 2004 and ,i will tell you what happens
i opened the passenger door to take something from my car and leaved it
open , after around half minute i heard the locks for all doors cliking and closing, i repeated the action and got same thing
i would ask if this is normal ?
please somebody tell me,is it normal or i have electric problem?

My 02 does that. I thought it was normal. It doesn't if the car is running (and perhaps if the key is just in the ignition, but I don't wanna test that.)

Check the passenger side rubber covered plunger switch... It acts like it does not know you opened the passenger door.

An easy test would be to check the dome light's operation when passenger door is opened.

Yep, relay or something's messed up, not picking up that you've opened the door

Normal is if you unlocked car without opening doors, auto relock in 30 seconds
If you open any door within the 30 second time frame, door will not relock

i would thank you ,because my problem is solved
i checked the passenger side switch and the dome lights operation
i remoeved the switch (it was loose) fixed it,the problem solved
