Civic engine swap?????

 I own a 1991 honda civic HB and its got about 250K miles on it the body is still very clean and i love the car so i would like to do an engine swap on it i have heard a lot of people putting the B16 engines in these cars does anyone know how much fabrication needs to be done to the existing chasis setup and what type off other parts will i need to perform this such as wireing harness fuelinjection etc. another words is this a bolt in project or does it take some major modifications from a stock 1.5 liter 4 speed roundabout to a b16 Rocket Go kart also i live in California and the smog laws are strict can it still pass smog after an engine swap THANK YOU FOR READING THIS your advice is much appreciated:_bow:

B16 swaps are not the easiest swap. But they are not that hard either. My friend had a 91 vic, I wanted to buy from him so I could put in a B17, but he sold it because he's a poofter!

The swap isn't that bad. Some shops around socal can have you up in about 1-2weeks. Call them up and go for it.

Re: Civic engine swap?????

Congratulations on getting 250K on your car. The latest consumer report said once you get to 225K you've saved a ton over buying/leasing a car every 5 years. That's an impressive feat. I don't think the engine swap is going to be the hardest thing in the world however, it will take some time for them to get it right. Any luck on finding out?
