Ripped boot

I have a ripped boot on my slave cylinder and was wondering how bad this is. I did notice a little bit harder clutch engagement and shaky starts is this the cause? Is this covered under warranty? HELP:help: :help: :help:

I doubt it's covered under warranty. Not sure how it could even get ripped.

Just go to parts and get another boot and replace it. It's not a big deal. Just clean everything and put a dab of lithium (white) grease on the end of the clutch cylinder where it seats into the shift fork. This area needs occasional cleaning and grease because it will start to creak when you push on the clutch.

Ya no kidding how did that rip? But the more i look at it, it seems to have come that way. A small 2inch split, i am going to the dealer tomarrow, they can deal with it. It is a Honda Care package, maitnence is included for free. They will proably say its fine and hope to never see me back. Just had my car in for like aw eek figuring out an electrical problem.:hithead:

Ok civiy if I was on my back looking behind my clutch (behind the pedal).

Would I look up on my back to see this fork?

Or would I look down on my stomach to the floor to see the fork?

That’s my question.:hgrin:

The clutch fork is next to the clutch slave cylinder on the transmission. It's on the front, when you look down near the battery side.
