Check engine light from snow "drifting" well, it was snowing pretty bad here today and on my way to work i decide to hit up some snow slides in the parking light and one time i accidently stalled the car and when i turned it back on the check engine light was on and then i just parked the car for work for about 7 hours and when i came back to go home, it was still on. anyone know what the problem is or how i reset it? thanks. |
well according to the service manual, you can reset the code by disconnecting the negative battery lead, then hooking it back up. Go have the code scanned and let us know what engine code comes up so we can help you eliminate the problem. |
code 2F: unsafe drifting :) |
i thought that one stood for 2muchFun? |
dammit i hate disconnecting the battery. that means i gotta reset the whole damn radio and all the settings and stations i have on it. can i just pull the ECU plug and do that to reset it? |
Yeah. I just pull out the FI ECU fuse under hood. That way you keep the radio settings. Look in manual for the exact fuse. |
^ yeah i think something may be wrong with the battery cause when i stalled it once drifting, the gauges lit up really slow to the full light.... |
is there a full 3-yr warrenty on the battery? |
haha I doubt it |
