2009 Civic Transmission Notes and Sounds

Hi,

Here are a few things I've been learning about my civic with 155k miles on it (I bought it at 105k miles).

1. While driving in the 5th gear between speeds 37 and 50 mph and when I'm not going on a downward slope, when I press the foot on the gas pedal just for a second and get my foot back, the automatic transmission seems to go into some sort of neutral. The RPM meter goes down. If on a downward slope and in this mode, the RPM meter increases as the speed increases, although the RPM is lower if it were at the same speed in the 5th gear.
Pressing on the gas again gets the engine back into 5th gear and the car perform normally.

2. Sometimes a clunk sound comes when I go from park to reverse, and drive to reverse, when the car is stopped idle. I always use a handbrake while in park.

3. When in 4th gear at low speed to change into the 5th gear (like 36 or 37 mph), the automatic transmission change into the 5th causes a slight thump. Everything performs normally after.
At higher speeds changes from the 4th gear to the 5th don't cause a thump.

I know that all these three points have been happening since I bought the car a couple of years ago. Otherwise the transmission works fine in changing gears etc. When it gets really cold here in CT gear changes cause a very slight jerk, but I guess thats ok. I wanted to ask if all this is normal? How long do you think this transmission will last? Transmission oil changes have been done at 25-30k miles intervals.

Thanks.
