removing those darn dealer stickers hi. i recently purchased a 2002 honda civix lx coupe. i wanted it silver in a 5-speed, but my local dealer did not have one. they had to order it from another dealership. when they were prepping the car for me they partially removed the sticker from the other dealer. there is still some of the stick that wont come off. does anyone know if goo off will work? does it mess up my paint? I believe Goo Gone will take the glue from the sticker right off. I also don't think it damages the paint at all. |
also, WD-40 works and doesn't do any paint damage. |
Bug and Tar remover does a pretty nice job also. I think its made by Lifter1. I've used it to remove that sticky stuff from the dealer decals and even my LX decal on the rear and it cleans up pretty nice. |
Use a hairdryer to heat the sticker. It will come off easier. |
try a steel brush, i recommend damping the area with paint thinner first,, |

3M's automotive adhesive remover spray works pretty good too, and its made for autos.. |
heat it up, watch it, dont leave it there...and work ur way in |
Kerosene gas works well......scrub sum on th spot. That sounds retarded but it works well. Friggin Brooklyn kids put sum kinda mexican flag sticker on my honda emblem........the stick **** was on there after i took of the sticker.....had tried every...then saw kerosene.. |
go with WD-40 it also works great for tar removal. |
Bug and Tar remover works well... Another problem sticker is the Airbag Stickers on the visors....anyone got a good way to take those off without f*cking up the fabric? |
when i took off my dealer sticker i heated it up and it peeled off nicely..... oh and removing a ricer wing also helps |
