Window cleaners

Just wanted to know what everyone uses to clean their windows. Has anyone tried any window cleaners in a spray can??

Same here. Except I use Windex on all the outer windows, and Rain-X every now and then.

I hear great things about this stoner product. Can't seem to find it anywhere here. Guess I'm stuck with Armor All glass cleaner

I use some stuff called Ardex...wonderful stuff....almost a commodity since it can only be sold commercially, thank God I am still friends with the dealership!!!

I use a little Amonia and water in a spray bottle for the front (actually add some amonia to the windshield fuild, helps out a bit) and for the tinted stuff I use cheap Walmart Brand Windex :)... soo what if it's generic, same chemicals anywhot.

Stoner Invisible Glass, picked it up at Autozone. Works wonders, and it says it's safe on tint (although I haven't tested this out yet). I don't use any cleaner with ammonia since the guy at the tint shop said to avoid them on tinted areas.

Stoner invisible glass and wipe with a crumpled newspaper.

I've been wanting to try that Stoner Invisble Glass. But I've never really figured out whats so special about cleaning glass with a wadded up newspaper.

MMILX 02-19-2003 12:35 PM

I use just about any clear colored automotive window cleaner and newspaper... gets the film off and works pretty decent without any "fancy" products

spray away, and a paper towel.. works great..

sawgunner06 03-23-2003 01:51 PM

I heard the Windex is bad for tint. And to use alcohol with newspaper to do the windows. the and vinager

ZSKCivic01 03-25-2003 07:27 AM

I tried those armor all glass wipes and they seemed to do a pretty good job getting all my windows clean.

showoff 03-28-2003 10:43 AM

I've read that the alkaline in the newspaper ink actually nuetralizes oil based smears giving it a crystal clean shine in conjunction w/ window cleaner of course.

Slizo 03-28-2003 12:44 PM

My neighbor told me it was ammonia in the newspaper ink, but regardless it's the ink and not the paper itself which is good for the glass.

I saw him outside one morning drying his car off with newspapers and thought he was too poor for towels :hgrin:
