Boat Detailing

I myself have never detailed a boat. I was wondering if anyone has. What do you guys use on the seats to get them clean again?

the seats are vinyl right? the few boats ive done have all had vinyl seats, in which case i just used armor all cleaner and resist all vinyl protectant and a soft bristle brush if its bad. the bigger question is, what are you going to do if the boat has gel coat!! i hope it doesnt or if you know how to clean/shine gel coat let me know!

I was thinking of using a cleaner that is like Simple Green. They are really dirty. My girlfriend only has a bimmini top on the boat...It is not a full cover. The seats are vinyl. and they are supposed to be a light creme color, well they are dark tan....Its gross. I will then use Vinyl X on them...She uses armorall but I am going to put a stop to that lol. As for waxing the boat, she has done that. She has some wax that she uses....What do you recommend. It is a 94 22 foot Stingray...

yeah if the seats are that bad simple green is the way to go. i'd recommend putting nu finish on the boat, since this is a once in a while thing right. . you can use this in the sun also as it is not a wax, but a polymer based chemical which bonds with the finish. its in a orange bottle and comes as liquid or paste.

I have used Nu Finish on cars before but I had no idea you could putit on boats too. Thanks for the tip.
