rail dust i recently read about this, and have always wondered where the little rust spots (they kind of look like tree sap) came from. i live in a town where there are no trains but i do drive across train tracks and wait at train lights at least a few times a week. the metal shavings (miniscule) are created from the trains wheels rolling on the track. you wouldn't really notice these spots unless you have a light colored car (mine is white). but left unattended these spots get bigger. and the only way ive been able to get these spots out is with a clay bar. just thought i'd share this tidbit. |
Awesome tip man, I have to keep that in mind! |
