rail dust

i recently read about this, and have always wondered where the little rust spots (they kind of look like tree sap) came from. i live in a town where there are no trains but i do drive across train tracks and wait at train lights at least a few times a week. the metal shavings (miniscule) are created from the trains wheels rolling on the track. you wouldn't really notice these spots unless you have a light colored car (mine is white). but left unattended these spots get bigger. and the only way ive been able to get these spots out is with a clay bar. just thought i'd share this tidbit.

some of the contaminets on your paint are also befor delivery of the vehicle when there ins transport there not always cover with the all famous white or clear plastic so the stuff fromt he exhuast on the rig falls on your paint and then you feel it when you run your hand on it

Plus, those rigs run in the rain and I used to work at a Toyota dealership that delivered cars like that...when we had to prep em, some of them didn't have the white sticky covers on the paint and the rust from the rig trailer dripped on the paint, pretty ugly! Plus, we found grease on some of them too...
