2004 Civic Alloy Wheels oxidized near center..

Hello,

Just picked up a 2004 civic EX. Each Alloy rim has oxidized near the center. Some more than others but on average about out to the lug nuts.

I've started cleaning one rim, peeling off the varnish over the oxidation and then sanding/steel wool/dremel/polishing... One section looks good. I don't think that I'll be able to clean up the center sticker...

Are the center stickers available?

What type of varnish should I spray over my cleaned up portions? Just a clear coat paint?

Any help/ideas welcome.

Regards,

Redbug2

You can just buy new center caps on eBay instead of replacing just the sticker.

You can also buy just the stickers if that is what you want to do, check eBay.

well i seen a program where they used compound and a good buffer and a lot of water and polished out a set of trashed wheels and made them look amazing. always wanted to try and see how it would work. it buffed off the clear and make the damage disappear.
