keeping black trim dark? does anyon have a secret as to keeping the trim work like to the right of the windows and around the top of the sunroof. like i know your not supposed to put wax on those parts but sometimesthey look faded, i want them to keep the dark back look they had when i got the car. |
meguiar's makes a great black vinyl renewer, but you have to redo it everytime you clean your car, its the same stuff that is used for the dashboard and tires, the more layers you apply the nicer it will look and shinier it will be. i have never had a problem with it either, its incredible the exact name of the product is "Meguiars natural shine vinyl and rubber protectant" it costs about 5-7 bucks try that. |
Yeah thats a good product, I would try that too |
thanks guys, um so i use it after the wash, but what about keeping i off the paint, what do you use to apply it? |
well u can use anything u want. I use a little towel but if u do that make sure you dont get and of the trim renewer on the paint because it will smear and it is a B!tch trying to get it off. |
I use Mother's Back to Black - works real good... too bad every time I detail the exterior, it rains the next day |
yup the mother's back to black is nice and cheap and it works great...plus it can withstand a bit of rain...so it's not that hard to clean afterwards... works great under the hood too =o) |
ya back to black can work wonders. I found it can be easily applied with a cheepo spong. The rectangular type that sells for like $3 for 10 or so. This way you have an edge to your applicator making very little mess onto your paint or other unwanted areas. I also use sponges to apply wax and other such protectants. I think they're a good idea and can save you a few extra bucks to spend on your car for some other things. |
i use armor all that ish works good on my car |
I use the turtle wax dash protector stuff, it works on the seals on the outside and all the plastics inside too |
