touch up paint will be available from your dealer for less than $6

then get a very fine brush and apply THIN layers every hour (allowing 1 hr to dry inbetween each application) until the touch-up paint matches the thickness of your original paint.

I had a scratch from my jeans on my car I was working on the other day, couldn't believe it taking a decal off my car and there the scratch was not really noticeable but I can see it all LOL. So need to get a thinner brush I guess to get a even cover, the brush on the touch up does a crap job too thick.

After you do touch up its good to wet-sand the area down! Then it would not be as thick!

Sand the area down wouldn't that scratch the paint? I was thinking of doing that but that crossed my mind?

Here is a little trick that done right will leave your scratch unseeable. Do as instructred above, but apply enough layers that the touch up paint is a little taller than the factory paint. Now you are going to wet sand the spot with 2000 grit wet dry sand paper. Do this very lightly as you main reason for sanding is to make the touch up paint the same level as the factory finish. Your car will now have many little scratches that will be easily taken care of. If you have access to a high speed polisher heres what you do. Carefully!!! polish out the scratches, but be carefull because a little to much polishing will remove your factory finish. All you are trying to do is polish out the scratches. After all is done, your scratch should be gone to the wiser.
