plastic scratches! ok...how should i start this out..well i was out and about today with a carload of people and i made a stop at the gas station. point is that while i was in the store my rear seat passenger thought i would be funny to honk the horn while i was in the store. (don't ask my why) but he decided to use a tennis racquet that was lying on the floor to do it therefore scratched the hell out of my steering wheel! they aren't *that* deep, though, but still... what do you guy suggest i use to get rid of the scratches. (there are also some other scratches on the hard plastic on the doors--that was another incident) i have no idea what to use--just makes me angry considering that i just bought my car a few weeks ago. thanx... |
I worked for a Van Conversion company, and they use a butane torch. They would hold it away from the area and just barely go over it. It eventually dissapeared. i would not trust myself to do it though! |
geeze! sounds a little 'ris-que' to me. well, guess if i'm feeling up to it i could try using my mom's portable butane hair curler thingy! i did, however, get the superficial scratches from the steering wheel by buffing it 4ever. that just leaves the deep ones and the ones on the door. oh well, i guess i'll just have to live w/ it... -jro |
Go to zainobros.com, they have something to fix plastic. give them a call, if they don't have the product to fix it, i bet they will know how you can fix it' they are super nice give them a try LOL |
It takes some big ones to try the butane torch, mine aren't big enough!:) |
