What's your guys oppinion about cleaning carbon fiber?? I' talking like carbon fiber shift knobs, hoods, or mabe valve covers?? What do I use to keep it lookin clear and not harm the clear coat??? Any oppinions...

Well on the valve cover you cant use any wax or anything due to the heat, so you would just have to wipe it down and maybe use a mild degreaser to keep engine oils off of it. But on a hood you would treat it just like any other painted surface on the car, they use the same clear coat. On the shift knob, its probably got a rubbery clear coating, you can just use some window cleaner on it.

What About pro-longing life of the carbon fiber Hood against the heat?? I live in Phoenix! So, it's is ok to wax & buff my carbon fiber?? Or does it depend, where it is on my car?? I.E not wax in the engine bay... THX for your oppinion... :help:

Well if you dont want to wax the underside of the hood for the same reason you wouldnt wax the valve cover, heat buildup. The heat wont affect the carbon fiber any more than it will another body panel, but it will kill your wax. On the outside it wont get hot enough to matter, i live in Oklahoma and we get plenty of heat here too. Treat the cf hood just like it was your oem hood. You can wax it, buff it, wash it just like you would any other hood. Its got the same type of clear on it that the rest of your car does.
