Wax shelf life

I've had the Megiuars 3 step since last year, only used it once and left it in the garage. My question now is, can I still use it or do I have to buy a new one? Would it still do it job in protecting the paint?

Thanks

I would say no more than a year or two. I threw some stuff out bc it was like water even after shaking.

you should be fine. megs wax products shelf life are around 3-5 years in normal conditions. shake it up really good before use, and you will be good to go.

if it went through some cold temperatures in the garage i'd throw it out...

now, why is it garabage if its been sitting too long, or been too cold?
I've heard the same thing, just a little curious.

As with any chemical product it will lose its effectivness over time. A wax is just that, wax, and when it gets too cold or frozen it loses its integrity and protection, not to mention its incredibly hard to work with. It will also separate in the bottle, which isnt normally bad, but when its cold the wax will freeze seperate from the rest of the chemicals in the bottle. Plus, i would rather buy a 5-20 dollar bottle of wax than run the risk of putting something inferior on my paint.
