Help with a dent on the hood

So I walk outside and notice there's a dent on the hood of my fairly new civic. It is about 2 inches in diameter and appears to have been hit with a stick or bat. What should I do?! How much would a repair be?!

Maybe see if Paintless Dent Removal could work it out.

Is anyone familiar with Dent Wizards?

Just do paintless dent removal that will be the easiest. Ask around in the Mid Atlantic forum for reputable shops in the area. Otherwise just get a CF hood or something instead.

Hm, CF hoods are about $450 right? About how much is installation?

soonercivic 07-07-2005 08:29 AM

you should be able to install it yourself if you have any tools and basic knowledge. Cost depends on the CF hood your looking for. I would imagine installation would be pretty cheap though. Its kinda straightforward.

paintless dent removal should do the trick, if not a body shop can take it out and paint the hood for you probably for about $150-$300

CF is tacky imo, I wouldnt get it

i just got paintless dent removal done on the hood of my 05 civic.
i highly recommend I-295 Auto Body Repair for paintless dent removal in the nj/pa area. mine was supposedly in a tough spot due to the hood latch and the double steel area of the hood. it looks just as new now. they were able to work on the car while i waited and it cost less than $100. woooooooo.
