What kind of protectent/cleaner on dash

I have an 03 civic with a black interior. I have been using (Armor All)detailers advantage protectent for the interior, but its a pain to use so I'm thinking of switching to something else, what do you recomend?, I want a one step product, Is vinylex any good?

hondaguy2582 05-29-2004 01:12 AM

Meguar's Nxt protectant is a good all around protectant. My favorites are 303 and vinylex.

albs 05-31-2004 01:41 AM

I like 303 and Einszett Tiefenpfleger. 303 has the reputation of having the best protective properties, but I like the look of Einszett Tiefenpfleger. It's not too shiny.

My favorite is Poorboy's Natural Look.

MrWong 06-02-2004 09:14 AM

I try not to use those protectants, I just use a chamois and water it does the job nicely.

Day_Tripper 06-02-2004 09:38 AM

At my dealer they told me not to use Armor All suposedly its bad for the new vinal (sp?) honda uses

How does water do a nice job of protecting? Poorboy's Natural Look has been by far the best stuff I have ever used. Cleans really nice, protects good, and leaves a VERY nice smell behind.

meguiars natural shine (i think is what its called)... its like 8 buck a bottle. well worth it. it's gives it a real brilliant shine without that cheap look like the other products.

for which part of the car?

I used it for the whole car....interious, of coarse....and it's really nice!

FALKEN 06-11-2004 03:53 PM

i dont use any of that stuff...i just keep it dusted off with a microfiber towel

rckdrmr 06-12-2004 12:44 AM

meguiars natural shine (red bottle) or nxt protectant (purple bottle)

YUL 06-16-2004 08:06 PM

apparently Armor All tends to develop a white-ish film over the years.

..i haven't noticed it yet....

You should really protect your interior from uv rays that will fade it over time.

zen_master 06-17-2004 08:41 AM

right now im not using the "very-wet" Original Armor-All towel for my dash..

i'll usually use the towel on something else first.........usually on the back seat............and then, when it's dried up, i'll use it to clean my dash....that's just to clean all the "fibery" dusts and make it shining again...

however, since the towel has been dried up, it doesn't exactly making any whitish layer on my dash.....and less sticky and stuff..

bobbyd 06-17-2004 08:55 AM

Zen, I would itch the Amorall stuff. There is so much better out there that will not leave any sticky or greasey film behind.

zen_master 06-17-2004 09:06 AM

exactly..

that's what im lookin for...............

hm............what should i get....
anyway, how to clean these armorall stuffs???

bobbyd 06-18-2004 08:13 AM

Well, if you want that new look and not some shiny greasy look I will highly recommend Poorboy's Natrual Look. We have found it to be the best thing to use. It leaves that new look, protects, and smells great.

meguiars gold class. armor all makes your dash dry and i'm sure in time, it will start to crack.

meguairs gold class?? u mean the wax??

lucky_topher 06-18-2004 01:10 PM

no zenmaster.. meguiars makes two gold class options for this.. 1 is the wipes.. it's a little canister that looks like a babywipes thing... ~$5 for 25 wipes... they are soaked with the second option .. 2) the meguiars gold class spray.. this is what you'll use if u want to use your own towels/etc..

i have both products.. i use this on my dash, other plastic interior panels, as well as my leather... and everything is beautiful, grease-free, and protected...

zen_master 06-18-2004 01:48 PM

damn, i should just simply buy those.......

i bought one canister of armorall + the spray

lucky_topher 06-18-2004 02:39 PM

Wipes

Spray
http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguia...l.cfm?sku=G-10
http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguia...roduct_g10.gif

--------

I use the wipes for the dash/doorpanels/etc... then i spray the spray on the seats for a larger area and no problems with overspray (windshield/etc)... then i use the already damp wipes from the dash/etc to wipe the spray :D

zen_master 06-18-2004 03:39 PM

wait a minute....

ur not using that thing for ur cloth seats, right?

I am leaning towards the Vinylex or the Meguiers natural shine for the interior but im still not sure. I've been using Armor all for a long time, whats the best way to clean that stuff off?

Jas88 07-20-2004 07:21 PM

Anyone have any experience using the meguiars (NXT) interior protectent?

bradfordtheguy 07-20-2004 11:39 PM
