Circles in the back window

My roommate and I have both noticed these faint circles (like the ones that cups leave on tables) on our back windows and we have tried washing them off and they are still there. I also can't get the lines off of my car from when I first got it (from the protective shipping tape).

Are we doing something wrong or are we just stupid?

if its on the exterior/outside of the window you can try some 0000 fine cotton wool, just make sure the window is dry otherwise the shit will rust to the window. After you are done fully wash the car cause the thing sheds, and u dont want any pieces stuck to the car.

Spray it with a glass cleaner....use steel wool on the window......wipe off with one rag....go over it again with a different dry rag, should do the trick.

Those rings are from the suction cups they use at the factory to install the glass - they ARE a pain to get rid of. I have them too. I've been washing and washing and they are still there... I'm not sure I would use steel wool - let me know how it works...

I'm not so sure that I wanna use steel wool on my window... or on my sunroof as I noticed those last night.

Maybe some good quality glass polish like Grigots or Zaino?

Don't use steel wool on the insides if you don't have factory tint, it'll rip right through non-factory tint, I work at a detailing shop and we use steel wool on every window we clean, it won't scratch it at all.
