Pics of my car after Meguiar's Swirl Remover/Polish #9, and Turtle Wax Ultra Gloss on top. Rained all weekend, so not the best pics.

At night when I finished:

All i have to say is see you later cause i'm goin to get me some of that stuff...that is a great wax job...

MeguiarsEM 04-18-2004 08:37 PM

I wonder if it last longer than the NXT Tech wax?

GrayGhost 04-18-2004 08:42 PM

Shiny :), but i'm not much of a fan of Turtle Wax

2k1sohc 04-18-2004 10:45 PM

I am not a fan of most Turtle Wax products either. But this wax is a new line, meant to be a competitor for Meguiar's Gold Class. It is $13.00 Canadian instead of $20.00. I don't know if it will last as long as NXT Tech wax. I will be happy to try it out when it comes to Canada.

KIT wax can last up to a year, but your car looks shiny. :)

my thoughts exactly. this new turtle wax line looks to be pretty competitive with the others, and i've been wanting to try it out as well. i might have to go pick some up now.

Nice night time shine!.....Can't wait to get my baby all spiffed up!

6_funk 04-26-2004 05:37 PM

yeah, i'm curious about the Turtle Wax Ultra Gloss.

I was gonna try the Meguiars NXT, but since we Canadians can't get it retail, i'll just get the TW Ultra Gloss instead.

Have you guys heard any bad things about this new line of turtle wax???

gearbox 05-05-2004 10:38 PM

I just waxed with KIT tonight and my silver car looks really shiny. I wonder how the turtle wax compares. Anyone else tried this stuff? I've seen commercials all the time.

civicdude 05-06-2004 10:52 AM

I love Kit wax. It is inexpensive, goes on easy, comes off easy and leaves a great shine

thomusvoo 05-06-2004 09:39 PM

meguiars gold is a good product.
but after like 3 washes the soft feel on the paint is gone =(

bmuise_civic01 05-07-2004 08:28 AM

I tried using the eagle one (nano technolgy) wax and i would have to say that it is a great wax and the soft felling to your paint last a long time, and i am a type of person, to wash my car 2-3 times a week and sometime more it depends on the weather. Do you think washing the car that many times would do any damage.?

gearbox 05-07-2004 08:46 AM

When washing, you always risk wiping scratches into the car from dirt and stuff. But if you're really careful, nothing should happen. I wash mine here with a pad and some buckets of water at the apartment, but I've got alot of scratches. Lucky I have silver I guess.

Here's a pic of mine after wash and KIT wax. I also use Meguiar's #7 show car glaze a couple times a year to really bring out the paint before waxing over it.

word. that's the reason i got a silver vic, scratches don't show up as easy. when washing.... each pass i soak and agitate more suds into the mitt and bucket. this loosens the dirt in the mitt, and helps minimize the scratches and swirl marks. i've been using this procedure for years, and it's been good to me.

gearbox,
your car looks clean dude, I just picked up some Kit Carnuaba wash & wax to clean my civic with. I have heard good things about Kit so I'll try it out and report on it.

RedDragon333 05-20-2004 12:03 AM

I use the Meguiars NXT and so far im very pleased with it.
