Mr Clean Autodry

My first experience with the autodry thing by Mr Clean was way better than i expected. I was expecting some spots at least, or a halfass wash job. It was awesome as hell though, really works! If you're lazy, like me, i'd recommend spending $18 and getting it. Just figured i'd post about it since it was so surprising to me that it worked. lol.

guamcivic2k1 04-17-2004 03:22 PM

someone posted that it left a think layer of oil on the car..or something like that

Cocky 04-17-2004 04:13 PM

there's a topic on it somewhere, most people love it. i think if it doesn't work, ya messed up somehow.

DaZeD 04-17-2004 04:32 PM

IBTM

abmerop18 04-17-2004 08:28 PM

sounds good. i think im gonna have to invest in some of this

what aboutn the rims, does it work on there too? it is a bitch to clean and dry my rims

Drnknmnky13 04-17-2004 08:32 PM

It works well. There was no film or oil or whatever on my car. There were still a few spots I had to dry by hand but no where near like before. The windows were spotless. I highly reccomend. Especially if you have hard water in your area.

NottaCivic 04-18-2004 03:02 AM

I used it and it seemed to work pretty well, but you still have to wash the car. A lot of people think that all you do is spray this stuff on the car and let it dry, you still have to wipe it down with soap. But when you rinse it wth this stuff, it works very well, no spots for me.

nivenmk1 04-18-2004 09:07 AM

Nice, now all I need to do is get a hose and place with a spigot to use the damn thing. :D

Seriously, thanks for the info, it will be on my "to get" list soon!

RiceBuRNeR 04-18-2004 09:56 AM

I just bought it yesterday, and it left no water spots on my black truck. I seriously recomend buying one of theese!

abmerop18 04-18-2004 10:50 AM

i just bought some today. im gonna go give it a try now and see how it work. ill let you guys know how it works on my silver car

abmerop18 04-18-2004 11:25 AM

well, i just finished washing the car and i finished in a record time of under 10 minutes. now all i gotta do is sit back and wait to see the results

abmerop18 04-18-2004 11:37 AM

well, it is dry now and this stuff is amazing!!! it worked perfectly like it was supposed to do. i give it

Cocky 04-19-2004 11:30 AM

Titleist71 04-19-2004 05:42 PM

GreenNVicious 04-19-2004 05:44 PM

LOL
Get a 1000 people together and you might get a dollar off. We're not talking about an exhaust system here.

:hgrin:

Mirage 04-28-2004 03:41 PM

i figured it would not work. i guess I was wrong. Gotta pop $18 for it

obguam 05-01-2004 01:32 AM

To avoid oily film, don't over-use filter. Its only good for about 3 washes. Kinda expensive but worth it IMO.

madmaddiel 05-25-2004 07:46 PM

Mr Clean is the Man! :_bow:

Day_Tripper 05-25-2004 07:49 PM

hmm i'll prolly try one out I wonder how well it would work in SA we have really hard water

xHoteKx 05-26-2004 10:31 AM

i got me one too and it rocks! the filter and the soap is quite expensive, so i still have my bucket n regular soap to use.

i just use it when im in a hurry or im feelin lazy

hondaguy2582 05-27-2004 12:02 AM

Your better off just buying an inline water filter and using meguiars gold class or nxt car wash. I got to demo it, and it still spots no matter what you do.

blue03civic 05-27-2004 08:58 AM

i was suprised to when iused mine for the first time.. ..yea most people think u dont have to do nething but spray but u have to scrub the car to get the dirt off.. mine worked great and i cant wait to use it again....

CivicsRdBest 05-28-2004 12:16 PM

I might try it... but what does the $20 kit include?

madmaddiel 05-28-2004 01:44 PM

clean kit

it comes with the handheld thing, a bottle of starter sopa and a filter thats good for about 3 washes, after that you can buy new filters that work for up to 10 washes, they are really easy to find even in grocrey stores here, also the soap is easy to find also. the filters and soap run around 6 bucks each, not bad considerind thats 10 washes.

Cocky 05-28-2004 03:20 PM

it's badass! i love it! i'd recommend it to anyone. i bought mine a couple months ago, saves a ton of time. i had at most, 1-2 places i had to hand dry, and that's because i probably missed spraying it with the filter. :)

NoahThePimp87 06-06-2004 05:48 PM

I have mad problems with mine and i think i have read the instructions a dozen times. I dont always get it in the shade which might be a big problem but even when I put the car in the shade it still leaves soo many watermarks and i have to end up using some quick detailer.

gc30 06-09-2004 12:12 PM

I just bought the kit yesterday .. but then found out it's only 3 washes !!! I was thinking after using up the filter i'll just use that little nozzle thing as a normal hose but ppl say it leaves an oily film on the car??? is that for sure what will happen if i overuse the filter?? (i don't care for watermarks I can handdry it)
