Mr. Clean sucks. Just so you guys know, it leaves an oily film behind, that is part of how the system sheds water so good and fast.

No coupons for Canada.

you'll ending wasting $$$ in the long run (buying refills, etc). as i've said many times... the water blade and the absorber are the perfect combo! water blade $20 / the absorber $10 = $30 and last for years!!

ive used it. its pretty good. i didnt see an oily film behind like bobbyd said.the car also repells water after using it. so when it rains water wont be left behind as bad as not using the system.

I am wondering... if an oily film is present after washing and someone was going to wax or polish the car, would it be a problem?

I just tried Mr. Clean and it worked great. No oily film that I could see. The water out here is very poor quality, mineral rich and over chlorinated. However, this product really did filter out most of the gunk and chemicals. Plus, if yr lazy like me or want to do other stuff, its great as there were very few water spots after it dried, although a little buffing improves the shine. I recommend it, if you are willing to pay for highly filtered, ionized water.

I bought it the other day - its alright. It gets the job done fast and puts a decent shine on the car. It doesn't compare to a good hand washing, drying, waxing but it works good if you're in a rush or just plain lazy.

I think its a good product my car looked pretty good after i used it and yeah it can get pricey when you need to buy more soap and filters but not having to dry my car saves me alot of time, time i can use to clean the inside with or wax my car

the WATER BLADE... what exactly is that? is is just a squidjy (excuse spelling)? I would like a good way to dry my car after washing it!!

WOW! I tried the Mr. Clean car wash today and it works perfectly! No need for a bucket, and it takes me about 10 minutes to wash my car! It also works great on my pet elephant.

anywayz, damn i didnt see this thread when it was first made. good to see someone went n made one on it. been seeing it in commercials alot n wondering if it was worth buying. i hate handwashing my car, well. not really the wash part, drying it is SUCH a bitch. all these lines n smudges n crap. n my chamee doesnt work for shit. leaves little tan lint on my nighthawk black pearl paintjob.

water blade and absorber is the cheaper way to go i think. ima try that first :tup:

Whichever you use, you should "blot" rather than "wipe" to avoid marring your paint (especially black) as mentioned in the thread above.

u shure its gona scratch? the product description on california water blades, its made from like microfiber silicone or some shit. said to be one of the softest easiest materials on earth. and it wont scratch ur car at all..

not to mention.... both the absorber & water blade have less friction than using towels. after i'm done drying, i use meguiars quik detailer to get water spots and missed washed areas (if any), and it also brings out the shine. :tup:

Id like a filter system for my water hose to clean out the junk when washing my car. I dont want a Mr Clean thing but its the first product Ive seen that filters the water.

If you filter the water, you will do less work because much of the problem washing a car is all the minerals and such in the water itself.

well, mr. clean says not to use the product in the sun... i did... and i still didn't get any water spots!

i couldn't believe it, i only used it once on two different cars, but other friends I know with the product told me to buy it before i actually did b/c they swore it works.

How well do you want to keep your car's finish scratch and swirl free? If you really want a really good looking black car, you will have to baby it. Black shows everything. It isn't unusual for me to detail my nighthawk black paint for 8 hours two or three times a year. In between the long detailing sessions, I use microfiber almost exclusively on the paint. It costs a lot of time and money to maintain my black car's finish to what I consider acceptable.
Everyone has their own standards, which may change depending on the time and money they have to spend!

It didn't work for me. I just ended up wasting the filter and the soap. I guess it may be the water I was using too, straight from the garden hose. I'm going back to Target to return the whole system and get a refund. :mad:

the thing about mr.clean autodry that keeps me from buying it is that i know im going to have to buy that refill soap for it. i saw it at kragen, fuklike like 8 bucks? i can get a carwash @ shell for 5 bucks with a tank of gas wen i need to fill up. so its not really worth it to get it i think :)
