look->scratch & chip repair pen/kit! :)

i'm always looking ways to make my ride look nice (like most people on this board), and repair any little scratch or chip that may arise (unfortunately, we gonna get scratches/chips no matter what :(). i was at wal-mart and was looking through the automotive section and stumbled across some touch-up paint (in the glass cabinet, you have to ask for it) that's factory matched to match your car (has paint/number code). it was only $4.83 for just the pen with two sides (a pen and brush side) or the repair kit which is around $20. check this out, we all have some scratches or chips somewhere around our cars. ----> http://duplicolor.com/projects/howto_scratchfix.html :D

Yeah I hate rock chips but up here it rains too much in the winter so I can't have my bra on. But yeah my next ride will have a clear coat bra and I don't have to worry about any more rock chips. But yeah haven't tried that one yet

Any reviews on this?!?!?! "rckdrmr" have you tried it out yet?

i tried it today and am not to thrilled. being that my car is satin silver metallic with little metallic flakes it seems as though it isn't matched perfectly. when they spray your car with metallic paint color it lays down differently, and is more spread out as opposed to applying it condensed. if it was a solid color maybe it would be different. the advantage of using it is, it has a side like a ball point pen and is easier to use than a brush. i think i'm going to empty it out and refill it with some oem paint from honda. but no matter what, i don't think touch up paint will always be a"perfect" match, being it's different when it's sprayed on. it may work for a different color, but not silver. the bright side is, at least i covered up the spots to avoid rusting which nobody likes. :please:

I have used that same touch up paint product for my Rallye Red coupe and it seems to look alright, the only problem is that you need to cover it with a clear coat too... Not too sure if that kit would have it, but if you just use the paint only, it'll come off and you'll still have that same scratch/chip.
