Door panels hard to clean?
 

I am having a bitch of a time keeping my black interior clean. My door panels get kind of dusty because I always drive with the windows down. I use a small amount of Armor-All and buff it out with dry towel, but stains are still tough to get out. Also, you can see streak marks from the Armor-All even though I only use a couple drops. A wet rag and no armor-all leaves marks too.

Can somebody help me? :hithead:

Alot of the stains you are getting are from when it rains. If you use armorall or any other dressing and the interior door panel gets wet...the water will leave a stain.

As for the streaks you are getting from armorall...I dont know why that is occuring. I would recommend you use a better product though. Mothers, Meguires, and also Vinyl-X make excellent dressings.

303 works pretty good at repelling dust... its water based, so that might be an issue when you get rained on with the windows down...

Otherwise that stuff rocks!

when i use armor all i spray it on the rag, not the panel........this sometimes leads to streaks or spots.

hehe, I quit spraying on the panel after I realized that I had to clean the windows when I was done :-D

I usually use a foam wax applicator and apply the dressing with that. One great thing about 303 is that you can use it on any surface, so if you get some on the window you just rub it...

Its really an awesome product -- I use it on my helmet's clear plastic visor, and on my car's clear plastic that forms the gauge cluster...

definitely apply it on the rag :)

keep your windows up. problem solved. they don't need to hear what kind of music you're listening to. they just need to see how shiny you keep your car.

use a mild soap to clean your vinyl to get rid of the spots, then protect your dash with 303 protectant or eagle one satin finish(if you can find it). These waterbased protectants are much better for your dash, and will not dry it out and crack it like some will. The original armor all used to be siliconed based, but now it is water based bc of what happened to a lot of cars dashes cracking in the past. I however cannot stand the smell of it, and I would only use it for hoses underneath the hood or as a cheap alternative to tires(even then i use 303).

If you use the Meguiar's Gold Class vinyl/ rubber protectant you too will be saying this. The stuff smells like an Iraqi cab drivers cologne. :_puke:It works relly good though.

I use Meguiars Vinyl Shine, it comes in a red bottle...the stuff rules, it's not too shiny, just looks clean and kind of satiny. It takes away all those water stains too!
