WD40 destroys paint? Does it? Cuz I get these little black spots like fly shit and the only way i can remove em is wit WD40. |
WD40 is just a lubricant, it isn't going to do anything to your paint job |
I need some WD40......but have you ever tried soap? or goo gone? goo gone works great on spots on your car.....and it won't hurt the paint.... |
WD40 can wreck paint if you let it sit on there forever... For tar removal, its fine... |
goo-gone and WD40 work great, especially for Tar/Grime removal. i recommend right after removing the residue, that you please use a nice coat of wax to cleanup. better safe than sorry.. |
I do not wreck paint! I'm not that kind of person! :) |
   get off the stage!!! |

http://www.wd40.com/Brands/wd40_big_blast.html I see lubricant here in a couple places, in NO part do I see degreaser. Not being an a$$hole, I'm just playing Devils Advocate... |
coolant will fugg it up :( i didnt even know some drops got on my RS grill, now it looks like my RS grill got herpes offa cheap hooker |
i would recommend goo-gone. i used it yesterday to shave my emblems and get rid of these plant chemical black marks (due to parkin next to bunch of plants) all over my passenger side paint (door/side skirt). so far, no damages or effects. make sure u rinse loose dirt first. |
